TRAVEL
OUR LOCATION: Our camp location is 20 miles upriver from Bristol Bay on the Togiak River at the confluence of the Pungokepuk River. We are within the boundaries of the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge, at the gateway to the Wilderness Area of the Refuge.

GETTING TO THE CAMP: Dillingham is the hub that we base our operation from. A number of Commercial airlines offer scheduled routes from Anchorage to Dillingham. Our guests should plan to use PenAir, as they offer the earliest flight of the day, and will allow you to travel from Anchorage to Dillingham and on to TRFA, arriving at the camp by 11:00am.

Access to TRFA from DLG is via air taxi, and we utilize a number of aircraft, depending on our needs of the day. A Cessna 185 may carry 2 or 3 passengers with limited gear, while a Turbine Otter may carry up to eight passengers with a liberal amount of freight. Other aircraft may include Cessna 206, Dehaviland Beaver, or Grumman Goose. Flights from DLG to TRFA are approx. 30-40 minutes, depending on aircraft. Charter rates vary by aircraft.
On Departure day you will be back in DLG around 12:00 noon, schedule your outgoing flight from DLG to ANC after 2:30pm.
TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE: It is strongly recommended that you purchase trip cancellation insurance, as with our short season and limited capacity we have had to adopt stringent cancellation policies. A late date cancellation without a replacement is a difficult situation for you and us.
Upon booking your trip with TRFA, you will be advised of the exact flights to book. It is imperative that all of our guests arrive in Dillingham together to make the best use of charter aircraft.
